Ms. Monica began her dance studies at the age of 6 with Lois Stone in Odessa. She continued her instruction in ballet, tap, and jazz with Lita Lauterbach, Jan Collerd, William Martin-Viscount, Mme. Nathalie Krassovska, Greg Mildenstein, Keith Clifton, and many others through the years.
While under the direction of William Viscount, she performed many parts in the Nutcracker, Swan Lake, La Fille Mal Gardee, and Les Sylphide. She began her teaching career at Odessa Dance Academy in 1986, and then taught for Barbara Craig until 1991. She concurrently operated two studios in Monahans and Kermit, Texas from 1991 to 1996. She is a longstanding member of Texas Association Teachers of Dance, holds a Bachelors in Geology, and a Masters in Curriculum & Instruction.
The mission of Center Stage Dance Studio is to instill a love for all forms of dance, an appreciation for its history, and to nurture the pursuit of dance careers in her students by developing a strong foundation in technique while having fun in a caring, respectful and structured atmosphere.
Ballet ~ Tap ~ Mommy & Me ~ Cheer
Ms. LaDona began dancing at the age of two under the direction of Barbra Branson at About Dance Studio in Odessa. By the time LaDona was six, she was assisting in ballet and tap classes for the younger dancers. When About Dance Studio closed she enrolled at Dance Connection where she was instructed by Margaret Edmonds, Barbara Craig and Cindy Solant.
Ms. LaDona's adult life has been spent teaching at various Mother's Day Out programs and Christian Schools throughout Odessa. Her teaching experience includes toddlers through pre-kindergarten. Ms. LaDona is the proud Mommy of three girls - Kamryn, Brooklyn, and Brisyn. She is married to Adam.
Jazz ~ Hip Hop
Meghan is a native Odessan. She began her dancing career at the age of three, taking classes in ballet and tap. She later undertook lessons in lyrical, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary. While in high school, she was a member of the Permian Panther Paws dance team and helped them receive their first ever national championship title. After graduating in 2005, she attended The University of Texas of the Permian Basin and danced for the Falcon dance team. In 2010, she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management degree. After graduation she started a family with her husband and now has three children. She has since taught different genres of dance including ballet, lyrical and her favorite, hip hop. She has also taught a range of age groups and enjoys getting to know each student she is privileged to teach.
Jazz ~ Hip Hop
Ms. Marissa began dancing at the age of three in Odessa and continued her training for 11 years locally. She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop under various instructors throughout the years.
At the Globe Theatre, she performed as a dancer and actress in the Southwest Shakespeare Festival for two years under the direction of Laura Metzger-Bond, and in the musical Happy Birthday USA for 5 years under the direction of Kathryn Graybill and Anthony Ridley. She holds an Associate in Arts in Psychology and Sociology.
Having studied at several dance studios, she understands how a teacher can best elevate her students to their highest potential and prepare them for their futures.
